Alcohol

Butyl Methoxydibenzoylmethane
Also known as avobenzone and Parsol 178. A synthetic UVA filter that protects against the entire range of UVA light. It is globally approved, making it one of the most widely used UVA filters in the world.
Butyloctyl Salicylate *
A two-for-one deal. It is used in suncare to help prevent the skin from going red and also doubles as a conditioning agent for your hair and scalp.
Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride
Derived from coconut oil and glycerine, it’s combination of fatty acids work to lock in moisture and replenish the skin’s surface making it a favourite of both hair and scalp.
Citrus Aurantium Dulcis Peel Oil *
Made from the rind of sweet oranges, this oil contains B vitamins that improve hair growth, controls dandruff on the scalp and adds shine to hair. It's also what gives the UV Head Veil that liquid gold glow.
Ethylhexyl Salicylate
Also called octyl salicylate. An organic compound commonly used in suncare products that works as a blocking agent for UV rays, primarily in the range of UVB light.

Glycine Soja (Soybean) Oil
Including vitamin E and omega fatty acids, this oil hydrates and improves moisture retention.
Hydrolyzed Wheat Protein/PVPCrosspolymer

Octocrylene is an organic UV filter commonly found in sunscreens that protects the skin against short UVA and long UVB rays.

An alcohol derivative of pantothenic acid, a component of the B complex vitamins. A popular all-rounder across many haircare products, it keeps hair smooth by sealing off the cuticle of each strand to help prevent things like frizzing, splitting, and fraying.
Ricinus Communis (Castor) Seed Oil
A nutrient-rich vegetable oil from castor beans. As well as giving hair a glossy look, its fatty acids provide essential proteins and nutrients to hair follicles. Because of this, it is often credited with stimulating hair growth (although studies are yet to confirm this).
Tocopherol (Vitamin E) *
Provides antioxidant-packed moisture that hydrates the scalp and leaves the hair shiny, soft, and smooth. The nutrients can help protect the hair from damage as a result of pollution, sun exposure, and heat.
